Save a spreadsheet table in CSV format.
 |
| Saving a spreadsheet in CSV format. Most spreadsheet applications include an option to save as CSV. |
-
Start Catalyzer and create a new Catalog (File >
New Catalog):
-
Right-click (CTRL-click on Mac) on the root folder (called untitled at the start)
and select Import > File... from the
pop-up menu to import all the data in the file, as
shown in the following screen:
 |
| Importing File |
 |
You can import CSV files anywhere in an existing
catalog, so you can import multiple spreadsheets into
a single catalog.
|
The following screen is displayed when you select
Import > File:
 |
| Import File Dialog |
-
Type the address of the file or click Browse to
browse to the file you want to import, select it
and click Open.
The .csv file has been imported into your catalog.
-
Select your catalog in the tree view; a new record is
there for each line of the spreadsheet, for
example:
 |
| Each row of the CSV file becomes a record. |
 |
You can also import other catalogs in this way, as
well as other file formats - Import>File and browse to
a catalog (with extension .axz or .axc). If you try to import a
file that Catalyzer does not recognize, it imports the
header information only.
